Front-end, as opposed to back-end, refers to the visible and accessible part of an application or website that users interact with directly. It is the user interface that users interact with on their web browser or mobile device.

Front-end development involves using technologies such as HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and JavaScript to create the design, structure, and functionality of the interface that users see and use.
