User Generated Content refers to any form of content, such as images, videos, reviews, comments, social media posts, blogs, etc., that are created by users for a specific brand or company.

UGC has become increasingly important in digital marketing due to its more authentic and genuine nature, compared to content created by brands. Therefore, UGC can be used by companies to increase consumer trust, encourage community participation, improve user engagement, and strengthen brand perception.

Brands often leverage UGC shared on social media, review sites, forums and other channels to promote their products or services, by repurposing posts from satisfied users as testimonials or to create inspiring and authentic content.
