User Interface (UI)

The User Interface (UI) refers to the visual and graphic part with which a user interacts with a software, application, website or other type of computer system.

Its objective is to facilitate the user’s interaction with the system, allowing them to perform actions intuitively and efficiently. This includes navigating different sections or functionalities, entering data, performing specific actions, and receiving feedback on actions taken.

It encompasses a variety of visual and graphical elements, such as buttons, drop-down menus, toolbars, text entry fields, icons, images, and more. UI not only focuses on visual appearance but also on user experience. Therefore, interface design must take into account the principles of usability and accessibility to ensure that users can interact effectively with the system.

In the UI design process, tools and technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are used to create and style interface elements. Additionally, responsive design principles can be incorporated to ensure that the interface is accessible on a variety of devices and screen sizes.
